On October 24th, Hip Hop Public Health joined the Food Day movement at two special events. Our own health emcees Mo Flow and Pete Colon taught kids about choosing “Go” foods like fruits and vegetables at the Big Apple Crunch event at Borough Hall. They led the audience in dancing and singing along to nutritious lyrics created by Hip Hop Public Health. We also held our own special concert event at Thurgood Marshall Academy Lower School in Central Harlem. Joined by Doug E. Fresh, Monifah, J Rome, Brady Rymer, Artie Green, Easy AD and the Hip Hop Doc, Thurgood Marshall students sang and danced along to Songs for a Healthier America tracks and came away excited to exercise and choose their veggies!
