This Thanksgiving, we at Hip Hop Public Health have much to be thankful for. Following the success of our inaugural “Health in Key” gala celebrating our 10 year anniversary, we would like to take the time to express our thanks for the people that have allowed Hip Hop Public Health to thrive in its mission to end health illiteracy through entertainment.
We are thankful for the thousands of students who have participated in our programs, learned and internalized the important health information we shared with them, and shared the information with their families and communities.
We are thankful for our Student Advisory Board members and partner schools, who help us ensure that our educational content and programming remains engaging, entertaining, and effective.
We are thankful for the children who have applied the information that they learned in our program to save lives, from family members to strangers on the street.
We are thankful for the individuals and organizations who believe in the power of Hip Hop to impact the nation’s health, which leads them to support and collaborate with us to harness that power.
We are thankful for our contributing artists, who have chosen to use their gifts to benefit the health and well-being of their communities.
We are thankful for our HHPH Ambassadors, who ensure that our multimedia content reaches children throughout the country and around the world.
Lastly, we are thankful for the other individuals and organizations in the public health sphere that are also working to develop and deliver innovative ways to improve the health of children and their families.
We will continue to be grateful for the many blessings that have allowed us to grow as an organization, and we look forward to seeing what 2016 holds in store for the Hip Hop Public Health family. Happy Thanksgiving!
