Hip Hop Public Health has had a busy start to the fall months with many exciting events! First, we participated in the first birthday celebration of the Drink Up campaign. This campaign encourages children and families to drink more water and to make the healthy choice the easy choice. In honor of “Drink Up’s” birthday, we produced a new song, “River of Life,” featuring Doug E. Fresh and Cam Anthony. The lyrics of “River of Life” demonstrate the importance of water. Through catchy melodies and verses, the lyrics tell how water is good for the mind and body. This track captures the essence of “Drink Up’s” message as it makes healthy hydration cool.

HHPH also recently partnered with LeapFrog for their very first Fit Made Fun Day! Artie Green and Easy AD hosted the event on the iconic Santa Monica beach. Soccer superstar, Mia Hamm, was also in attendance. She is the official spokesperson for the new active gaming product, LeapBand, which encourages kids to stay active throughout the day. Our health emcees led the crowd of kids and families in breaking 3 Guinness World Records! Together they broke the records for most people making sand angels, most people hopping on one foot and most people doing the swim dance. Congratulations to everyone who helped break these records!

HHPH also participated in the Southern Westchester Food & Wine Festival. We were joined by our friends Amelia Robinson, SAY Org, J Rome and Brady Rymer for multiple performances throughout both days of the festival. Many people also visited our booth to listen to our music and watch our videos. We had a blast meeting everyone who stopped by.
